Notes:

End of year estimate includes Grand Cayman (post Hurricane Ivan) and Cayman Brac estimate. The drop in population level is related to the temporary relocation of residents abroad in the aftermath of hurricane Ivan. The sharp increase in population is related to the return of residents who left after Ivan, and the increase in the labour force needed for the reconstruction of the country. During 2002 to 2004 a large number of persons were granted Caymanian Status.
