Progress

The Diversify the Economy driver group have been meeting on a regular basis to come up with strategies to meet their driver objectives. Their progress is recorded below:

 

• BE INFORMED sessions were held to share information about the Cayman Enterprise City Special Economic Zones and the medical tourism project in East End.

• The fourth trade mission to Panama is being organized by the Chamber in partnership with Government (Ministry, Department of Tourism, Cayman Airways) to promote travel and trade links between Panama and Cayman.

• Focus groups will be established for various industry sectors that are being targeted for diversification (medical, tourism, film, renewable energy and reinsurance).  An online survey is also being developed to gather information regarding the sectors targeted for diversification.
