Eric Bush started his career with the Royal Cayman Islands Police Service as a recruit in 1999 after completing his Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Lynn University in Boca Raton, Florida.
Eric’s professional career has been quite diverse. He was a Sergeant in the RCIPS, spending time in the patrol division, uniformed support group, criminal investigation department and financial crimes. From there, he moved into the private sector serving as Senior Manager in the human resources department of Treasure Island and then Cayman Airways before returning to public service.
Eric is currently the Chief Officer for the Portfolio of Internal and External Affairs in the Cayman Islands Government. The departments which fall under his remit include the Royal Cayman Islands Police Service, the Department of Immigration, Her Majesty’s Prison Service, Public Safety Communications (911), Department of Community Rehabilitation, Legislative Assembly, Commission’s Secretariat and the Elections Office.
Eric believes highly in giving back to the community in which he lives. This is evidenced by his participation as the Immediate Past President of the Rotary Club of Grand Cayman, past Chairman of the Board of Directors of Cayman CrimeStoppers, and Past Treasurer and Director of the Civil Service Credit Union.
Eric his happily married to Dr. Laetitia Bush and has 3 children, ages 9, 4 and 2. When Eric is not busy spending time with his family or working, he can be found cooking, on the golf course or enjoying fellowship and a nice glass of wine with his friends.
Michael Joseph was born in Jamaica in 1973 and was raised in Cayman from the ripe age of only 6 days old. He attended school first in the Cayman Islands at St. Ignatius, and then received further education in England, France, Spain and the United States. Michael has a degree in International Business Management and another in Marketing and Advertising, he represented the Cayman Islands in the 1996 Olympic Games and is a former YCLA finalist. He is a member of the Rotary Club of Grand Cayman. He has worked in both Europe and Cayman and speaks French and Spanish fluently. Before commencing his successful career in the real estate industry Michael worked in private banking/trusts with RBS Coutts and also with local marketing company BB&P. Michael has been a real estate agent with RE/MAX Cayman Island since 2003 and has been heavily involved in the company’s numerous community efforts.
