Welcome to the Future of Cayman
The Cayman Islands like many countries around the world is adjusting to the new world economy with our collective vision and passion to improve our attractiveness and competitiveness for our residents, future investors and visitors.
The Future of Cayman is an economic development initiative implemented by the Chamber of Commerce and endorsed and supported by Government to bring both public and private sectors together as we partner to achieve the best possible quality of life, business climate, employment, and investment opportunities available to us.
Through a State of Business Survey and consultation with private business associations and civil service entities five Key Drivers have been identified as critical areas to be addressed for a prosperous and sustainable future: Develop Talent, Create a Business Friendly Climate, Build a Smarter Infrastructure, Enhance Quality of Life, and Diversify the Economy.
In November 2010, the first Future of Cayman Forum took place under the guidance of a Steering Committee made up of both public and private sector representatives and our Forum facilitator IBM. Each key driver was assigned to a specific discussion group made up of representatives with experience and knowledge relating to the driver topic. This website has been designed not only to share their findings but also to update you on the progress being made as far as the identified objectives and actions. There are many ways to get involved in this initiative. We hope you’ll contact us with your feedback, questions and suggestions or maybe volunteer as a driver group contributor. The Cayman Islands is open for business!
